I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the Bay Area, offering in-person and virtual psychotherapy to adult individuals and couples.
About Claire
I chose this work because of my heartfelt curiosity about people and how we choose to build a life with the circumstances we find ourselves in. I am fascinated and fulfilled by what can happen for us when we strengthen intimacy with ourselves and with others. I am motivated by the hope that this intimacy can liberate us from both outer and inner oppressive systems.

Experience & Interests
I have experience with a range of issues: depression, anxiety, life transitions, loss and grief, living with chronic illness, codependency, developmental and relationship trauma, unusual beliefs or experiences, lack of purpose or meaning, developing creativity, and distrust of therapy itself.
In my continued training and study, I have focused on adult relationship development and how to help couples release redundant patterns that hold them back from the intimacy they want. I have developed educational presentations for other clinicians on issues specific to queer couples seeking relationship counseling. Whether you have been together for 2 years or 20, relationship therapy can be a powerful process that I whole-heartedly believe in.
Other clinical interests and professional development include long-term relational psychodynamic therapy, racial identity in the counseling relationship, the psyche-soma relationship, power and ethics in counseling, and the history of psychotherapy. I am a current candidate in training at the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco.
